Established in 1906, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, MSO, is Australia's pre-eminent orchestra. Working with a distinguished roster of titled conductors headed by Chief Conductor, Jaime MartÍn, and renowned visiting artists, the MSO reaches audiences of more than five million annually, live and online. The MSO has recently embarked on a partnership with the London Symphony Orchestra's LSO Live label, extending its audience reach still further.

The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is looking for a skilled Production Coordinator to join our hard-working Operations team
Reporting to Production Manager, the Production Coordinator is responsible for coordination of production and technical requirements of allocated MSO concerts and events, stage set-up, stage changes and pack downs, as well as many aspects of the Orchestra's OHS systems. The position is also responsible for maintaining the Orchestra's store, assets and equipment, and coordinating equipment hires and loans.
The Production Coordinator is also required to provide production and technical support to all aspects of the MSO as required and is a full-time ongoing position.

The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is looking for an exceptional Financial Controller to support our Finance team and wider organisation.
The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the accounting and corporate reporting requirements for the MSO, whilst assisting the CFO to ensure sound financial management across the Company. This includes implementation of accounting policy/best practice/compliance obligations, internal and external financial reporting, financial analysis, supervision of an end-to-end payroll process and implementation and maintenance of internal controls and processes to support financial best practice.
There is also a strong focus on proactive identification of issues, opportunities and solutions to ensure effective risk management, financial performance and sustainability.
Overseeing a small team, the role works closely across all functions of the business, and plays an important role in improving financial literacy and budgetary management. A confident and strategically oriented understanding of the unique challenges facing not for profit entities, particularly within the performing arts, is essential.
