About the role


Redcape Hotel Group is seeking a passionate & caring customer centric individual to join our Leadership Team at The Wattle Hotel as our Bottle Shop / Retail Manager.

You would lead your collective Team to successfully operate the Bottle Shop in a role that combines both FOH & BOH duties.

Required Traits, Qualifications & Attributes

  • Experience in the same or similar role is a mandatory requirement
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.

  • High standard of physical fitness & manual handling as it can be a physically demanding role. Coupled with the ability to complete tasks that require heavy lifting which may be repetitive in nature, working unsupervised and within WHS guidelines.
  • Experience in hospitality senior leadership positions is preferred but not mandatory
  • Proven track record with leading teams
  • Focused on driving performance
  • Accountable and responsible
  • Understands business strategies
  • High standard of cash handling skills
  • A current/valid RSA certification.
  • Forklift License (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Computer skills that translate to communicative requirements and effective stock management

Duties and Responsibilities


The purpose of this role is to support the Venue Manager with the day-to-day business operations of the Bottle Shop.


The key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Leading the Bottle Shop Team, as we strive to offer outstanding customer experiences.
  • Ensuring we maintain exceptional venue standards in relation to cleanliness and presentation.
  • Creating and nurturing a positive work environment so that all team members can thrive.
