About the role


Leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years.

You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.


  • Develop and facilitate an engaging childcentered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft whatever you and the children are into
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
  • Manage the daytoday operations of your service including compliance and administration

About the school


Your new home is at Helping Hands Picnic Creek, a 135 place 'Meeting' National Quality Standards OSHC service, located in Coomera.

You will joining a large and well established leadership team, supporting a Lead Coordinator and guiding 2 Assistant Coordinators as well as having the support of a strong and established team of regular educators.


The Helping Hands service at Picnic Creek State School has an average attendances 65 children in the mornings and approx.

135 children in the afternoons.

The service utilizes a dedicated OSHC building with a large private outdoor area including a sandpit as well as various outdoor play spaces, undercover areas and playgrounds located throughout the school grounds.

Who are we looking for?

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:

  • Enjoy working with kids
  • Strong and clear communication
  • Team player with a desire to become a service leader
  • Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it) and a state check for working with children
  • Australian work rights
  • Diploma or higher (Or working towards) in: Teaching, Education, Music, Behavioral Science, Community Services, Youth, Creative or Fine Arts, Early Childhood Education, Nursing or Allied Health, Sport and Recreation or Human Welfare.
