As an

experienced Category Manager for Capital & Utilities, you will be the owner for a spend category by developing and executing agile global Category Management Plans with a forward-looking 1-5-year timeframe with the intent to create value by reducing operational costs, risk and fulfilling strategic business requirements.

As a

procurement expert with a strategic foresight, you will support and execute initiative plans on the Procurement Platform including; project creation, savings pipeline, baselines, negotiate commercial terms / pricing and lead-time.


You will establish supply chains, run RFT / RFP's, collaborate with business, legal, develop and close contracts, enter contracts into the database and maintain the contract database to meet deadlines throughout the procurement lifecycle.


You will build and nurture internal relationships to understand business drivers, ensure the category is meeting strategic direction for Bradken and provide internal customers with insights regarding category trends globally and within their region.


As a dependable team player within our procurement team, you will establish and execute Supplier Relationship Management through supplier segmentation, supplier risk assessments, continuous improvement initiatives, Business Unit needs and embed metrics to measure supplier performance, promote joint cost reduction.


With great attention to detail and thorough understanding of the business needs, you will maintain a high degree of compliance concerning Procurement activities and vendor management.


As a supply chain professional who enjoys busy and a hands-on role, you will provide monthly reporting on budget and key deliverables.


Key Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to procurement
- business or contract law will be highly regarded

  • CIPS or similar qualified
  • Extensive experience in a similar Category or Procurement position within the manufacturing industry
  • Experience in developing Category or Procurement strategic plans
