We are seeking a

Cafe Assistant to work alongside our Café Convenor in our busy College Cafe, with the ability to cover leave occasionally if required.

What you bring to the role:

  • Experience in food service and knowledge of the nutritional requirements of school-aged children is an advantage,
  • Organisational skills, initiative and enthusiasm, and
  • Excellent team work, communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
This is a very busy area of our College and the right person should enjoy working with young people.

The role will include:

  • Food preparation and cooking,
  • Frontline service with a high level of customer service to students and staff,
  • Daily cleaning and tidying of the Café,
  • Following of Safe Food Handling and Hygiene Regulations and Procedures,
  • Purchase and operation of the College Monitor cashless café system machines,
  • Receiving of stock orders and ensuring stock is stored in a clean and tidy manner, and
  • Multitasking in a fastpaced environment where flexibility is required.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:

  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.

Commencing April 2023 or ASAP

School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Total Paid Hours (per week) & days required:10 hours per week (days to be negotiated.)

Salary level, range or hourly rate:Services Staff Level 2 - $29.35 per hour
