The Head of People Strategy, Risk, and Support Office Business Partnering is a senior member of the InvoCare HR Leadership Team responsible for shaping, developing, and managing InvoCare's People strategy and risk portfolio at an enterprise level. This role also provides HR Business Partnering support to InvoCare's Support Centre.

The InvoCare support office is currently located in North Sydney, however, we are excited to announce that our office will be relocating to the North West or Western suburbs by July 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

People Strategy & Planning:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive people strategy and annual planning framework.
  • Develop and review an enterprise-wide people strategy aligned with InvoCare's organisational goals.
  • Translate people needs into actionable HR requirements, ensuring a balance between long-term and short-term strategic vision.

People Risk Management:

  • Implement and manage a robust people risk management framework.
  • Identify, monitor, and report people-related risks to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
  • Escalate and report compliance issues effectively.

Program Development and Management:

  • Manage the allocation and execution of responsibilities across people plan initiatives.
  • Implement regular reporting on strategy and risk initiatives with standardised dashboards.
  • Develop and prioritise initiatives to ensure successful delivery.

Support Office Strategic Business Partnering:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, establishing credibility and building engaging relationships.
  • Deliver high-quality HR business partner support across the InvoCare Support Office.
  • Proactively address organisational capabilities and talent constraints to support business strategy.
  • Drive performance management processes, employee wellbeing programs, and foster a culture of continuous feedback and improvement.

Policy and Process Management:

  • Ensure all enterprise people policies are contemporary, compliant, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Lead and contribute to the People and Culture Leadership Team (PCLT), ensuring a strong customer service culture within the People and Culture function.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in developing impactful People strategies and HR operating plans.
  • Expertise in identifying and managing people risks and compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Strong program management experience at an enterprise or functional level.
  • Strategic mindset with HR transformational experience.
  • Highly collaborative stakeholder management experience at senior executive and Board levels.
  • Business partnering experience in a corporate or services industry.
  • Systems thinking to create innovative people strategies.
  • Consulting skills to build trust and influence with senior leaders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to challenge the status quo and lead change.
  • Champion organisational culture and values.
  • Be customer-centric and results-oriented.
