About the role

Reporting to the Reportable Incidents Lead you will assess and triage client incidents within i-Sight, determine if events meet the threshold of a reportable incident, manage, and submit notifications to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDISC) to ensure compliance in line with national legislation as well as LWB policies and procedures.

The position is a critical role in the coordination of meeting legislative requirements of the reportable incident process. This role also requires staff to be on-call one weekend per month. This is full time, 12 month maximum term contract, location is flexible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Client Services and other key internal stakeholders to complete incident reporting with a strong focus on customer service, quality, and compliance with legislated timeframes
  • Assess and review the collection of information to determine if the incident is reportable to external statutory and regulatory bodies
  • Work with Client Services to gather the information for the initial and follow up reports to the NDSIC
  • Coordinate the referral of reportable incidents to NRAIT and P&C for investigation
  • Undertake critical assessment of client event risk factors to inform guidance, process steps and escalation pathways
  • Complete data input into the NDISC portal, compiling information from existing systems, client services, and other sources
  • Provide endtoend oversight of, and assistance with, coordination of the event
  • Facilitate formal training and educational sessions with LWB staff in relation to reportable incident(s), risk management and the NDISC

Skills & Experience

  • A qualification in a related discipline or other relevant experience/qualifications
  • Working knowledge of relevant safeguarding legislation, framework, policies and procedures (NDIS Reportable Incident knowledge would be an advantage)
  • Demonstrated experience writing wellarticulated reports and correspondence that involves a highlevel of risk assessment and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and delivering high quality outcomes within agreed timeframes in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of data systems
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role that requires a calm, clear and measured approach to handling calls and queries of a highly sensitive nature
  • Proficient ability in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs, specifically Excel
