Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a range of 'In-Home Care' services to clients, primarily elderly individuals
  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, etc.
  • Provide inhome support including medication assistance, meal preparation, light housework such as vacuuming, dusting, and mopping
  • Assist with shopping and transport clients to medical appointments
  • Provide social support and community engagement to clients
  • Review care plans to comprehend clients' objectives and requirements, utilise an app to keep track of crucial information, and identify any dangers to ensure clients' safety

Position & Perks:

  • We offer Casual and Parttime positions for Home Care Support Workers in various locations throughout Canberra and surrounding suburbs.
  • The job involves working independently and as part of a team, should have _
    flexibility to work short shifts_.
  • You'll have the opportunity to travel to clients' homes as part of your role, so the ability to work and travel around Canberra is a must.
  • The hourly rate offered is negotiable based on your qualifications and experience, ensuring you are fairly compensated for your work.
  • In addition to your hourly rate, we will provide you with a travel allowance for the distance travelled with clients and between clients, making sure that you are compensated for your travel expenses.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or higher in Community Care (Disability, Individual Support, Ageing Support)
  • Flexible approach to a range of working hours between 7.00 am pm, Monday to Sunday
  • Motor Vehicle License (Green P, Red P, Full C Class or Full International)
  • Own registered, reliable, and comprehensively insured motor vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain
  • National Criminal Check no older than 12 months (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People Card
  • Evidence of current Flu Vaccination (essential)
  • Evidence of Covid Vaccination (essential)
