The Role You Could Play
The Fragrance, Hair and Body (FHB) Education Lead is responsible for driving and executing education content for the Fragrance, Hair and Body categories. The education content primarily speaks to store teams and spans across multiple mediums, including digitally-led and face-to-face training formats, produced in collaboration with the Learning Design team and other key stakeholders. The FHB Education Lead will work closely with the FHB Education Manager and Category Leads from across the business to bring our teams the most innovative, informative, and inspiring educational content to support the business objectives, category growth and the professional development of our store teams.
The FHB Education Lead will achieve this by:
- Designing and delivering innovative educational content to grow the knowledge and skills of our MECCA store hosts and specialists. They will also support the upskilling of hosts into specialist roles, across the Fragrance and Hair categories.
- Collaborating with the FHB Education Manager and Learning Design team to make improvements to our existing FHB training programs and introduce new courses and assessments to step change the level of confidence / expertise in stores and doing so in a commercially considered way (i.e. in line with budget and with a strong commercial lens on any new activity).
- Collaborating with the Innovation Education Lead on delivering skill-focused, MECCA-led training to support the delivery of new and existing services to close knowledge gaps and support new service trials.
- Building a strong relationship with the category brand and marketing managers to align on the delivery of the strategy for brands and overall category growth.
- Collaborating and building strong relationships with our brands to provide direction on content that is impactful, store-focused and aligns with the overall category priorities.
- Keeping up to date with business needs by proactively communicating with relevant departments, education leadership team and field team.
Ultimately, the purpose of the role is to ensure team members across all retail roles receive the training they need to support the company's vision of becoming ANZ's most-loved beauty destination by consistently providing an unparalleled customer experience.
What You Will Bring
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Strong facilitation style that captures attention and maintains engagement (both in the physical and virtual classroom)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships, work collaboratively and influence decision making
- A genuine passion for fragrance, hair and body
- Drive to self-educate and research emerging technologies and trends
- Strong understanding of the principles of customer service, including product demonstration and application
- Strong understanding of adult learning and digital learning design principles
- Expert knowledge in fragrance category including types of fragrances, fragrance terminology, chemistry and products
- Expert knowledge of hair and skin physiology, treatments and ingredients
- Flexible communication style, easily adaptable to suit relevant audience or medium
- Ability to manage own workload, goal setting, planning and deliver on budget commitments
- Excellent understanding of retail policies and procedures and sound ability in following both written and verbal directions
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities in order to develop better processes
- Advanced MS PowerPoint and MS Word skills
- Intermediate MS Excel and MS Teams skills
- Intermediate skills in editing software and learning design
