Category Director

We are seeking an experienced Category Director to lead our Hair, Body & Wellness category and drive its success through sales, profitability, and growth. Reporting to the General Manager of Merchandise, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a long-term strategic agenda that drives transformational change and shifts the dial on the long-term success of MECCA Brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category and brand strategies to ensure long-term and lasting growth
- Drive transformational change, effectively influencing executive-level stakeholders and/or brand founders, and engaging others on the journey
- Build and engage a high-performing team of Brand Managers, challenging them, and inspiring them to deliver exceptional service to the portfolio of brand partners within the category and driving them to accelerate category performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, Digital, and Finance, to achieve category goals
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences to predict future trends and drive business growth
Requirements:
- Extensive prior category and brand management experience in luxury and international markets
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful category and brand strategies
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Commercially astute and experienced in owning and driving P&L efficiencies
