MAJOR PURPOSE:


Supports the company's Supply Chain Operations by coordinating the movement of Complete Goods through the RDC in Melbourne, liaising with the Vendor Performance Manager, JDL Order Fulfillment, 2W and the various 2 & 3 PL's.


Provides logistics process support for all containerized outbound parts movements through the RDC, NZ SO parts, International RGA and Core returns.

Provides oversight, analysis and problem resolution to optimise business outcomes and in alignment to legislative requirements.

Supervises a small wage workforce to meet varying business and productivity requirements.

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Ensures timely processing of all CG material movements at the RDC, i.e. Goods Receipt, Inspections, Storage, Repair, Dispatch and Consolidation.
  • Works with internal and external business partners to coordinate availability of equipment.
  • Assists where required in the booking of ad hoc loads for the distribution Centres, including domestic, export bookings and nondealer shipments.
  • As the DG Coordinator (EH&S), actions DG checks, monitor DG compliance and develops process improvements.
  • Coordinate CG Container Management and quarantine compliance with brokers, carriers and internal stakeholders.
  • Works with the RDC Manager to ensure all current warehouse operations best practices and guidelines are adhered to and applied locally
  • Trains company personnel in the use of available logistics tools and systems, developing and maintaining process documentation.
  • Provides work direction, coaches and develops a team of wage employees
  • Actively participates in Continuous Improvement projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Competencies, technical skills, formal education and relevant work experience critical for successful individual performance of essential functions.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Specialised skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Understands and applies safe working practices, maintains relevant licenses to operate equipment, including Operator Certifications to drive equipment
  • Understands warehousing functions
  • Works under limited supervision
  • Responsible for quality of own work
  • Data entry/keyboarding skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Skill in planning and organizing

Education:
Formal education or training required to perform the essential functions of the job. Includes degrees, certifications, licenses and/or registration requirements.

  • Miscellaneous Certificate, Diploma, Degree or equivalent experience

Relevant work experiences:
Type and amount of experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. May include specific roles and/or an understanding of a particular function, organization, industry or product line.

  • Experience in clerical role years)
