About the Role:


Our client has been in operation for over 40 years and pride themselves on bringing the most innovative healthcare furniture and equipment solutions to Australian Healthcare providers.


Led by a team of product designers, engineers and sales advisors, our client is passionate about working with their clients to provide high quality products and ensure "top notch" customer care.

Due to experiencing considerable growth, they are now seeking an experienced Purchasing and Production Scheduler to join their operations team and be responsible for inventory management, procurement and job scheduling within a manufacturing environment.

Duties:

  • Manage the procurement process and drive production schedules
  • Generate purchase orders based on planning schedules
  • Work closely with the customer service team to convey product availability, timelines, delays or supply interruptions and completion dates
  • Monitor and report on factory effectiveness
  • Manage item costs and updating price, product and vendor details in the ERP system
  • Source new products and components
  • Component and final product quality control
  • Coordinate logistics and incoming freight
  • Monitor inventory levels, create production work orders, and monitor lead times to ensure customer orders are fulfilled within timeframes

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong production planning/scheduling experience
  • Familiar with ERP or MRP systems
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as be part of a team
  • Experience with managing Inventory and Bills of Material
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong Safety focus with a preventative proactive approach
