We are looking for a highly motivated coordinator to support our mentoring program, SongMakers.

Reporting to the National Program Manager, this coordinator will assist in delivering the SongMakers Program on behalf of APRA AMCOS. The program aims to highlight the value of songwriting for young creatives by demonstrating songwriting and production and offering pathways into the music industry.

The Coordinator, SongMakers position can be based in any of our APRA AMCOS offices across Australia.

The ideal candidate will help strengthen the SongMakers program by achieving the following key objectives:

  • Coordinate the national mentored in-school programs, including travel arrangements and teacher communication
  • Manage school holiday versions of the program as needed under existing partnerships
  • Establish and maintain networks of music teachers nationwide to support songwriting and music production activities
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and hiring industry mentors (songwriters, producers, artists)
  • Create promotional content for the program and manage marketing and communications in collaboration with internal and external partners such as government entities at various levels as directed by the Program Manager
  • Support the Program Manager in expanding the core program, including seeking external funding, proposal submissions, grant management, etc.
  • Facilitate a thorough evaluation process for SongMakers

Skills & Experience

  • Proven success in event management, from funding to execution and reporting
  • Demonstrated track record in organizing live music programs featuring diverse artists and events
  • Proficiency in travel coordination
  • Experience in collaborating with vendors and Local Government agencies
  • Experience in working in regional areas
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
