Chandler Macleod have partnered with an iconic Australian business that is renowned for its premium poultry products. Our client has multiple permanent positions available for Maintenance Fitters to join their day, afternoon and night shift teams.

The role of Maintenance Fitter will work in their on-site factory at their Laverton North (VIC) cooking facility.

Pay rate starting from $43.92 per hour

Full time hours:
Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day.

Key qualities:

  • Dedication to safety and an eye for detail
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Work in a team and fast paced environment
  • Work independently
  • Show initiative in the work being produced
  • Preferred but not require, experience in a similar role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the efficiency and maintenance of all food machinery through preventative measures and troubleshooting
  • Report to the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Working in a team with different trades
  • Ensuring optimal production efficiency and downtime is minimised
  • Contributing to the improvement of the plant by assisting to identify improvement and automation opportunities
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks on all plant and equipment within the factory
  • Project work including new equipment installations and commissioning
  • Breakdown repairs and troubleshooting

Key Requirements:

  • Australian Fitter Trade qualification and licence
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • FMCG Industry experience is highly regarded PLC knowledge and experience
  • 2x Covid19 Vaccinations
