About the opportunity
Council will open the new Blacktown Exercise Sport and Technology Hub (BEST) in early 2023.

This transformational project includes a state-of-the-art centre for health, education, and sport, the lodge, academy style accommodation, and a brand-new physical literacy space for the community.

The BEST project will complement the existing facilities within the sports park which house sports such as AFL, Cricket, Softball, Baseball, Soccer, and Athletics.


This is a permanent, full-time position responsible for assisting and support the daily operations at Blacktown International Sports Park (BISP), including reception, tenant, stakeholder and hirer interactions and bookings system management.


Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Certificate IV in a related field or equivalent
  • Extensive experience in a customer service role
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Current Class "C" driver's licence
  • Current First Aid qualification.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
  • Computer literate including the use of cloud based booking platforms
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Availability to work flexible working hours.

Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,396.62 per week
  • 35hour working week
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 10.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
