As a Coordinator Infrastructure Development, you will lead a team of engineers and technical staff in managing existing and developing asset base. Responsibilities will include:

  • Guide and foster a team of professionals to cultivate cohesion, focus, and drive, aligning with organisational objectives, policies, and values.
  • Spearhead the development and upkeep of a prioritised five-year capital works program for civil infrastructure.
  • Offer expert technical and professional engineering counsel concerning planning permit referral requests for construction inspections.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to draft and present business cases during the City's budget cycle for new, renewal, and major infrastructure and drainage projects.
  • Oversee project management for identified projects, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and budgets while providing regular progress updates.
  • Prepare and deliver high-caliber reports tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Lead the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures pertinent to infrastructure or transportation.
  • Address community inquiries regarding asset performance and planning, managing requests for information efficiently.
  • Coordinate and oversee the consent process for Works Within Road Reserves (WWRR) and Asset Protection Permit (APP), including any subsequent enforcement actions as necessary.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Qualifications in Civil Engineering, and/or in Management or lesser qualifications together with extensive and diverse experience, or intensive specialist experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with experience
  • Qualification and relevant experience to permit registration on the National Engineering Register and Engineers Australia membership.
