Our aim is to improve relationships and reduce stressors for inmates/transferees, so they feel cared for.

We are seeking a capable and motivated Case Worker to support the team at Parklea Correctional Centre.

  • Our Case Workers provide an initial assessment and identify risks, needs, goals, and objectives to prepare inmates for release and reintegration back into the community.

Some of the Case Worker responsibilities are to:

  • Provide case management service to the inmates according to the Risk Needs Responsivity model;
  • Conduct case planning and assessment interviews to identify risks, needs and objectives; in collaboration with the inmates, identify goals and objectives, which are measurable and achievable;
  • Respond to inmate welfare requests and enquiries in accordance with defined policies, procedures and timelines;
  • Record case notes regularly and accurately, within the required timeframes;
  • Complete other administration tasks as may be required within the role.

Ideally we are seeking individuals who are:

  • Able to prioritise tasks to ensure completion of outcomes
  • Strong communicators, both verbally and in writing with the ability to articulate complex information in plain English
  • Able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearances from New South Wales Police and Correctional Services New South Wales (we will assist with this process)
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID19 (double vaccination) with proof being provided.
