About The Role

As Manager Digital Transformation, reporting to the Director People and Performance, you will be leading a talented group of individuals, pushing the boundaries of innovation and driving the organisation's digital strategy including Data Analytics, Innovation and Business Improvement.


Having the capacity to plan for the future, you will be a creative thinker, comfortable generating alternatives, visualising new possibilities, challenging assumptions and opening yourself up to new information.


You will lead the design and delivery of digital transformation projects, driving the implementation of Council's Digital Strategy to collaboratively deliver exceptional experiences, streamline operational efficiency and ensure Council is fit for the digital future.


Lastly you will be responsible for building and leading a highly motivated team of professionals, all working together to ensure that Council's digital future is robust, responsive and commercially optimised in relation to current and emerging business needs.


Key accountabilities

  • Proactively collaborate across the business to embed new ways of working, delivering initiatives to accelerate digital transformation, empower adoption of digital and data, foster creative thinking and drive operational efficiency.
  • Provide expert advice and leadership on digital transformation approaches for service transformation enabled by data, innovation and business improvement.
  • Work closely with the Manager ICT on the Digital Strategy to recommend strategic technology initiatives, support delivery of the technology objectives, goals and budgets, drive the change program, deliver on the technology uplift, and digital workplace tools.
  • Provide effective people leadership of the Business Unit, including coaching of team members to achieve outcomes.
