Wenona is seeking a Careers Counsellor to help develop careers related initiatives and broaden the opportunity of our students.

You will work across multiple schools, promoting an awareness of careers education, as students navigate and develop their post school plans.

By supporting students in key transitional periods, you will promote amazing career opportunities to broaden the horizon of every Wenona graduate.

The Position:

The Careers Counsellor plays an important role providing an informative insight into potential career opportunities to students at Wenona. You will promote careers education, as students navigate and develop their post school plans.

The Careers Counsellor will work closely with a variety of stakeholders including Director of Student Opportunity and Careers Education, senior teaching Staff, students, families and industry to provide appropriate support.


Key priorities for the role include:

  • Promoting diverse post school pathways including, but not limited to university, colleges, TAFE and private providers.
  • Communicating knowledge of current early entry schemes, special entry schemes and awareness of the changing landscape of university admissions.
  • Preparing careers related publications and career updates for members of the Wenona community.
  • Collaborating with various schools to support the development of careers education support materials and resources.
This is a permanent full-time position.


This role requires the successful applicant to hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check and to be fully COVID vaccinated.
