An exciting opportunity exists for Part Time and Casual staff to join the Occupational Therapy Team at Mona Vale Hospital.

This opportunity is also open to undergraduate and new graduate Occupational Therapy and Allied Health Professional Students.

What you'll be doing


An Allied Health Assistant (AHA) engages in basic patient care, clinical duties and/or administrative support under the supervision of the designated Allied Health Professional (AHP).

Clinical duties may include therapeutic and program related activities and the identification and reporting of changes in the client's condition.

The Allied Health Assistant may be engaged to work in a discipline specific area or assist in the delivery of allied health services across a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the role of an Allied Health Assistant within a large organisation. Ability to work independently under the delegation of an AHP and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or willingness to undertake this training or other qualification deemed equivalent by NSLHD.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands within scope of practice, demonstrating communication and computer literacy skills daily.

  • All NSW Health workers are required to have two doses of a COVID19 vaccine, as defined by NSW Health.
