Job Description:


This is an exciting opportunity to Lead a team of highway civil engineers working within our transport industry with a strong focus on roads and other transport projects.

As part of taking on the responsibility of Team Lead role and contributing to our projects, other day to day activities include:

  • Leading and maintain a high performing engaged team through effective communication, feedback, and support of all team members.
  • Empowering and supporting staff to be at their best.
  • Being a role model.
  • Driving a client centred environment.
  • Creating a sustainable team that continue to deliver business objectives.
  • Mentoring less experienced staff in their development and assist them in professional accreditation where appropriate.


The Team Lead will require strong networking and communication skills with a focus on work winning, team building and mentorship as well as a focus on strong service delivery to both our internal and external clients.

The Team Lead may not be the most senior member of the team and must actively engage and empower all members of their team regardless of seniority.


Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing infrastructure projects and meeting delivery requirements, ideally 10 years - highways and major projects experience desirable
  • Experience in successfully leading and developing project teams
  • An effective leader with tenacity and drive to achieve outstanding results and grow the team.
  • Project margin and cost utilisation experience
  • A strong networker, influencer and able to think strategically
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications a must. RPEV, CPEng, RPEQ registration highly beneficial
