About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and enthusiastic Construction Project Manager to join our client's growing construction team. In this role, you will oversee the successful delivery of projects in the industrial construction sector, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead with Safety: Implement and manage safety strategies throughout project phases.
  • Quality Focus: Work within structured Quality and Environment systems, adhering to industry codes and standards.
  • Client Communication: Ensure clients' project outcomes are met through effective communication.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects across various work fronts, ensuring timely and organised delivery.
  • Scope and Budget: Collaborate with clients to develop project scopes, estimates, and budgets.
  • Tender Proposals: Compile and submit formal tenders to strict quality standards and deadlines.
  • Project Planning: Use software like Microsoft Project or Primavera for planning and programming.
  • Subcontractor Management: Vet, engage, and manage subcontractors, including contract administration.
  • Claims and Invoicing: Handle project claims, variations, and monthly invoicing according to contract conditions.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with Site Managers and Supervisors for successful project delivery.
Key Selection Criteria:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or Civil/Structural Engineering, or extensive industry knowledge and experience.
  • Experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer in building and construction projects.
  • Strong computer skills for programming, project planning software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Proven ability to manage construction trades and deliver projects successfully.
