Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of an innovative Council seeking to make a positive difference in the community you support? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Governance Officer to join our team.

Located on the lower North Shore, our leafy suburbs have a vibrant and diverse village atmosphere. We aim to provide "best value" services and facilities to the community whilst ensuring a sustainable future.

About the Role


You will be responsible for assisting the Manager Governance and Risk in performing Corporate Governance functions including assisting in governance compliance; coordinating Council's corporate and strategic plans and reviewing and implementing Council's policies, procedures and systems.


  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business, Administration or related field; or relevant industry experience;
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Governance framework and Compliance;
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal and written communication skills including Report, Plan and Policy Writing; and
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills.
