We are seeking a talented and experienced Structural, Mechanical, and Piping Engineer to join our construction team for a major gas refinery project.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and implementation of structural, mechanical, and piping systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
Our client, a key construction company who specialises in technicial projects within the oil & gas industry, has partnered with leading provider in the energy industry, specializing in the construction and operation of gas refineries.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to develop comprehensive construction plans and schedules.
Conduct detailed structural analysis and design for refinery components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations Support the Construction Manager in the execution of the project's Construction Management services As SMP construction package lead, run weekly construction progress meetings with SMP subcontractor Studying themethods of installation, structural erection and establishing erection/assembly sequence Oversee the selection and installation of mechanical equipment, such as pumps, compressors, and turbines, to meet project requirements.
Design and optimize piping systems to transport fluids and gases throughout the refinery, considering factors such as pressure, temperature, and flow rate.
Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams during the implementation phase, troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, with a focus on structural, mechanical, or piping design.
Proven experience in the design and construction of industrial facilities, preferably in the oil and gas sector; preferably in Australia Proficiency in engineering software such as Auto CAD, Solid Works, and CAESAR II MS Office Suite Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex engineering challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a dynamic and growing company.
This role is a 12 month fixed term contract and is located in the Western suburbsin Greater Melbourne.
The role is seeking a professional to start in this role immediately.
An hourly/daily rate is on offer between $90-125 per hour + super.
