JOB PURPOSE:


Located in Pinkenba, the L3Harris Communications and Logistics Centre (HCLC) is a multi-faceted logistics support entity that provides the L3Harris Defence Australia programs with integrated logistics support.

Within this facility, as a member of the In-Service Support (ISS) team, this role is responsible for providing logistics support to a multitude of L3 Harris projects, standing offers and services associated with the freight and distribution of L3 Harris communications equipment and ancillaries.

SCOPE:

  • The coordination of tasks within the Maintenance Support area to support contractual performance requirements
  • Initial and continual training to Maintenance Support staff on the L3Harris maintenance and inventory systems
  • Lead stocktaking activities of customer sensitive equipment in accordance with Commonwealth of Australia Defence supply chain manual
  • Lead the yearly stocktake of L3Harris owned repair parts using ORACLE inventory system
  • Regular liaison with L3Harris (USA) Product Service team to ensure appropriate priorities are actioned and resolved
  • Update the Supply Chain Maintenance Supervisor of issues affecting the Maintenance Support area
  • Attend and provide input and advice into the In-Service Support (ISS) planning meetings
  • Other duties as directed by the Supply Chain Maintenance Supervisor

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Support the Return Material Authorisation (RMA) process across multiple programs. This includes the Shipping and Receipting of products and the management of Commercial Invoicing/International Export requirements
  • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all internal excel spreadsheets
  • Inventory management of repair parts, including cryptographic items (receipting/issuing/discrepancy management)
  • Attend Skype meetings with the L3Harris (USA) Product Service team and Maintenance Support Supervisor
  • Liaise with the L3Harris (USA) Product Service team regarding RMA's in support of operational requirements
  • Ensure International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) are correctly adhered too.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS**Essential

  • Current Australian NV1 Security Clearance as a minimum
  • Understanding of Defence warehousing and supply chain
  • Understanding of the fundamentals for supply chain management
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Computerliterate with multiple programs (Intermediate MS Excel an advantage)
Desirable

  • Professional training in Team Leadership. (Certificate IV Management and Leadership)
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
