Maintenance Planner

As the Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for scheduling general repairs to fixed plant assets, improving maintenance practices and driving continuous improvement at the Pinkenba Cement Plant.


Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Forecast and update work orders daily.
  • Continue to develop maintenance plans and asset information inside CMMS system
  • Undertake weekly planning meetings with operations team to schedule resources and identify priorities
  • Identify reoccurring breakdown events and problem areas for further investigation
  • Assist with Tendering & Procurement duties for maintenance tasks where required
  • Assisting & train operations staff on entering and closing work orders/requests
  • Ensuring newly acquired assets and plant items are setup inside CMMS and appropriate maintenance plans developed.
  • Assist maintenance staff with the purchasing of spare parts and stock management
  • Assisting with plant improvements and drive innovation in the plant
  • Proactively contribute to the Wagners Online Safety Management System (Lucidity)
  • Adhere to Wagners and Customer Workplace Health and Safety requirements
  • Work to be performed within Wagners Quality Assurance program

The successful applicant will need to possess the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Possess flexibility, adaptability and versatility of approach to handle changing work requirements
  • Ability to establish and manage working relationships with Directors, Senior Management Team and Wagner employees
  • Proficient in computer usage
  • CMMS Experience (Preferably Pronto)
  • Electrical or Mechanical Trade Experience
  • Experience in working within a continuous manufacturing environment
  • Forklift Licence (Desirable)
  • Trade qualification (Desirable)
