About the opportunity


L3Harris Micreo requires an experienced document controller to take responsibility for correspondence, document templates and configuration data for a major Defence contract currently underway.

The role has the potential to be influential in the team and a key contributor to the overall success of the program.

Reporting to the Configuration Manager, the role requires someone capable of operating autonomously whilst also comfortable with direction.

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Provide document control and administrative support to other members of the project as agreed with the Project Manager.
  • Provide advice to Project and Company staff on Document Control best practice.
  • Manage and control all formal Documents and Data relating to the project, ensuring such documents are created, stored, updated, released, destroyed and reported in accordance with L3Harris Micreo Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure correct version control is being exercised across the project
  • Assist with the Configuration Control of Documentation for the assigned Project(s)
  • Maintain the Correspondence, Document, GFx, Action Items, Issues, and Contract Change Registers for the project.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of deliverable documents across the project by providing advice and direction on quality issues relating to project documentation (Title/Cover Pages, Headers and Footers, mandatory document content)

  • Essential
  • Extensive experience in a document control, coordination and support role in a complex project.
  • Demonstrated experience of using SharePoint or similar EDRMS.
  • Demonstrated competence in written and verbal communication.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Preferable
  • Experience as a Project Coordinator in complex projects
  • Demonstrated experience of working with a Commonwealth customer
