  • Our client, a major Oil and Gas Operator is currently seeking a QAQC Assurance Specialist that possess endtoend expertise in surveillance and assurance activities such as auditing, tender evaluation, inspection and testing, and leading investigation for Drilling, Completions and Well Intervention related equipment and services

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, implement and maintain quality plans, service quality plans, ITPs, or PM-ITPs, ensuring all contractual quality requirements are effectively communicated and met.
  • Ensure NPT and nonconformances are properly documented, appropriately investigated, and satisfactorily actioned.
  • Provide advice and guidance to engineers and warehousing personnel including development of inbound inspection, storage, and preservation guides for all major Wells equipment categories.
  • Attend prejob meetings with the supplier to review the upcoming job scope, and ensure all parties are aware of the procedure, guidelines, methods, standards, etc. for the job.
  • Prior to commencement of job, carry out a document review exercise which includes but is not limited to review of competence of supplier personnel involved with the job, review of any technical alerts associated with the tools and review of client requirements for the tools.
  • Review the procedures, guidelines, methods, standards, etc. provided by the supplier to carry out the job and identify any nonconformance to industry standards or client requirements.
  • Witness and where required, supervise the supplier's job processes including NDE, visual inspection, dimensional inspection, assembly and testing to ensure tools and material being mobilised to the client worksite meet necessary supplier and/or client requirements.
  • Ensure that the actual job being carried out is as per the procedures, guidelines, methods provided by the supplier.
  • Ensure availability of all assurance and qualification documents for tools and material, including but not limited to certificate of conformance, mill certificates, standard inspection certificates, nondestructive examination certificates, etc.
  • Identify and document any nonconformance observed during the job execution using client NCR format
  • Witness/monitor the supplier's investigation of any tool and/or material failure.
  • Intermediate verification at random intervals during the job cycle to ensure the final tools and material delivered will satisfy the requirement as specified by the supplier or the client.
  • Ensure that the supplier is carrying out the tools and material packaging, storage and/or preservation in a manner that does not impact the fit, form and/or functionality of the said tool and/or material.
  • Stop the job which is deemed unsafe to the people involved.
  • Ensure any deviation(s) such procedures, guidelines, methods, standards, etc. is documented and reported back to the client representative.
  • Submit final Tool Release Form to verify all tools follow requirements as specified as the scope of the job.
  • Report back to the client with details of daily activities carried out as soon as practical after the visit. The report template and the contents shall be defined by the client and may change without prior notice.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products for the issue of timely reports/presentations/communications.
  • Selfstarter with the ability to work independently, perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Training and demonstrated expertise in the latest edition of DS1 Volume 3 and Volume 4 or NS
  • Verifying suppliers have the proper checklists, drawings, assembly, and testing procedures, BOM, component records and configurations for their specialty tools.
  • Understanding the critical need that the supplier follows procedures and utilizes objective acceptance criteria for used tool components.
  • Specific requirements for Shop Qualifications of drilling jars, MWD/LWD, rotary steerable tools, motors, under reamers, surface safety valves, Kelly valves, and IBOPs, fishing tools, and specialty tool connections.
  • Formally documenting all activities that do not conform to supplier, client, or industry standard by using the client's nonconformance form and presenting to the client at the end of each day of work
  • Have a recent history (past 12 months) of witnessing a minimum of three supplier jobs for a specific rental tool including NDE, inspection, assembly, and testing.
  • Understand relevant API specifications including API Spec 71, API Spec 72, API 5CT, and API 5DP.
  • Knowledge of maintenance and inspection requirements for various oilfield components under API Spec 6A; API RP 8B, 8C; API 11B; API 11D1; API 5CT; API Spec 16A, 16C, 16D; etc.
  • Knowledge of and capability to carry out visual checks of premium connections from Vallourec, Tenaris, etc.
