Seeking a Senior Business Analyst role that provides in-depth analyses and reporting tailored to meet Government and Department of Health requirements. By offering specialized advice, business analysis, modeling, and project management, the role supports high-priority Government initiatives to alleviate pressure on Tasmania's public health system. Additionally, it enhances the performance of assigned programs and projects.

The Department of Surgery and Perioperative Services:

  • This role is primarily focused on assisting the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) Department of Surgery and Perioperative Services in fulfilling the significant elective surgery increase announced by the State Government in the Budget
  • The incumbent will be stationed at the LGH, overseeing the coordination and management of outsourced elective surgeries to private hospitals as per contractual agreements
  • Additionally, the incumbent will provide general business and analytical support to the LGH Surgical Services team

The role:

  • The Senior Business Analyst position entails delivering accurate, reliable, and tailored analyses to meet Government and Department of Health requirements. Through specialized advice, business analysis, and project management, the role supports critical Government initiatives to alleviate pressure on Tasmania's public health system and improves program and project performance.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full-time role, with a weekly commitment of 76 hours, starting as soon as possible.

*Flexibility in hours can be discussed with the successful candidate

  • For twelve months from the publication date, this selection process may be utilized to fill subsequent or similar full-time and part-time vacancies.

Salary: $104,756 to $118,730 annually, with an additional 11% superannuation contribution from our Employer.

You'll enjoy benefits including living expenses coverage up to $9,010 and $2,650 for meal entertainment per FBT year, plus other eligible benefits.

Desirable criteria for applicants include relevant tertiary qualifications.

  • The successful candidate must undergo pre-employment checks, as mandated by the Head of the State Service, including conviction and disciplinary history screenings.
