Sr. Solutions Architect

As a Pre-sales Solutions Architect (Analytics, AI, Big Data, Public Cloud), you will play a crucial role guiding the technical evaluation phase in a hands-on environment throughout the sales process. You'll be a technical advisor internally to the sales team, collaborating with the product team as a customer advocate in the field. Your goal is to help customers achieve tangible data-driven outcomes using our Databricks Lakehouse Platform, supporting data teams in completing projects and seamlessly integrating our platform into their enterprise ecosystem. This position offers the opportunity for professional growth as a leader in your domain, tackling big data, analytics, data engineering, and data science challenges faced by our customers. Your direct report will be to the Solutions Architect Manager.
The impact you will have:
- Be the go-to expert in Big Data Analytics for architecture and design aspects
- Guide clients in evaluating and adopting Databricks, including hands-on Spark programming and integration with the broader cloud ecosystem
- Assist customers by creating reference architectures, how-to guides, and demo applications
- Integrate Databricks with third-party applications to align with customer architectures
- Engage with the technical community through leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups
- Collaborate with your Account Executive to build strong client relationships in your assigned territory, delivering both technical expertise and business value
What we look for:
- Pre-sales or post-sales experience with external clients across diverse industry markets
- Proficiency in customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles with a focus on data engineering or data science
- Ability to demonstrate technical concepts effectively, including presentations and whiteboarding
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing architectures within public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with various Big Data technologies such as Spark, AI, Data Science, Data Engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra, among others
- Strong coding skills in Python, R, Java, Spark, or Scala
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
