As the Enterprise Risk Manager you will provide oversight and continuously improve Suncorp's Enterprise Risk Governance and Reporting. This includes generating insights in relation to Suncorp's Strategic and Emerging Risk.

What you'll do

  • Drive a strategic approach to the Board Risk Committee and supporting governance processes, that delivers to the Chair's expectations.
  • Write and ensure high quality Board reports, including CRO monthly reports, Group quarterly risk reports and reports to the Non-Financial Risk Committee.
  • Drive the development and implementation of Suncorp's Risk Strategy.
  • Work with Group Strategy to produce the strategic execution risks to Suncorp's business plan.
  • Monitor and report on the key risks to Suncorp's business plan.
  • Work with other risk teams to ensure a consistent Suncorp approach to the management of strategic risk, including emerging risk.

What you'll need to bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, risk or finance (mandatory).
  • Postgraduate qualifications or professional qualifications (Desired).
  • 7+ years of relevant assurance / risk management experience.
  • Proven experience in dealing effectively with senior management.
  • Executivelevel report writing.
  • Experience in professional services environment would be advantageous.
  • A demonstrated understanding of risk management
  • Ability to analyse and synthesise information to extract key messages.
  • Strong written communication skills and eye for detail i.e. to produce high quality reports for senior management and the Board.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation and communication skills, to achieve appropriate outcomes.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and deliver on competing priorities.
  • Risk expertise and/or energy and passion to learn the risk profession.
