About the role
***A key member of our Australian Business Unit Corporate Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment & Quality team, the Sustainability Manager will take complete ownership and lead sustainability deliverables for tender and assist with project sustainability onboarding and ongoing support. You will actively participate in identifying and assessing sustainability initiatives and programs to support the tenders and projects.

  • In an easytoget location of Hawthorn, you will collaborate with great people, this role offers an opportunity for you to enjoy coming to work This is a handson role that requires you to support tender and project teams in implementing sustainability plans and initiatives, including supporting projects and teams undertaking ISC ratings. You will be the Sustainability "Guru" and the goto person for the New Business Strategy tendering and Project Teams for identifying and supporting the sustainability agenda and mentoring / upskilling junior sustainability staff.
  • You will have solid attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a minimum of seven to ten years of experience in working in a similar role on large/complex projects. Experience within civil, construction, defence, mining, resources, or similar industries is highly desirable but not mandatory.
    About you
  • Tertiary qualifications in areas of sustainability, environmental science, natural resource management or related field.
  • Minimum seven to ten years of sustainability experience
  • Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional (ISAP) and experience implementing ISC on projects
  • Lead Auditor qualification desirable
  • Knowledge and understanding of green star is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare highstandard reports and documents.
  • Experience developing and delivering training
  • Experience in conducting audits, with auditing qualifications desirable
