Opportunity to develop into a spare parts interpreter


We are looking for a capable stock controller / parts administrator to manage our client's stock inventory and parts requests for jobs being executed by their team of marine mechanics.


Responsibilities

  • Work with marine mechanical parts and accessories
  • Placing and receiving orders to replenish stocks as needed.
  • Tracking shipments and coordinating internal stock transfers, as well as resolving delays.
  • Receive stock and process, including counting, receipting, labelling, packing and dispatching between 3 busy workshops
  • Maintaining a steady flow of stock from the parts store to where it is needed.
  • Coordinate pick up or delivery of parts
  • Performing regular inventory audits and keeping stock neat and organized
  • Perform other jobduties as assigned

Requirements / Skills

  • Previous stock / parts management experience
  • Data capturing
  • Database knowledge
  • Computer literate on Apple Mac
  • Microsoft office experience especially on Microsoft Excel
  • Good communicator & independent, trustworthy worker
  • Valid driver's license
  • Forklift license (not mandatory but will be a benefit)
  • Great analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Marine industry experience would be beneficial.
Training will be provided on Mechanic Desk (The software used for inventory and job management, invoicing and receipting)
