Your Role:

Your Skills & Experience:


As an experienced Category Specialist, your knowledge of contemporary global supply chain markets and trends has equipped you to build strong working relationships - in particular with suppliers - that have ensured your success in delivering for your customers.

You've demonstrated experience supporting the delivery of category plans through your activity, factoring varied and complex market forces and challenges whilst scoping outcome-focused solutions to these

You'll present with:

  • Degree level qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline; or lesser qualification coupled with significant experience in a electricity or other energy sector.
  • Sound knowledge of SAP with a focus in the Materials Management, Maintenance and Logistics modules.
  • Ability to read, interpret and provide advice in relation to technical specifications, drawings and other technical documentation as it relates to the assigned category equipment and materials.
  • Ability to administer commercial contracts including developing procurement strategies, knowledge of hedging procedures for commodities and foreign currencies and reporting on related financial exposure, managing endtoend contract formation, tendering, award, key performance indicators and dispute service delivery.
  • Providing Specialist Technical verification, acceptance and recommendations regarding Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of primary system equipment. (145kV and above SF6 Circuit breakers, Instrument transformers etc.)
While not essential, qualifications in Procurement or significant exposure to procurement and materials management processes would be highly desirable.
