About the Role


As the Head of Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving the expansion and growth of the organisation by identifying and securing new development opportunities in the Greater Sydney area.

You will lead the formulation of strategy and it's execution, leveraging internal resources and industry networks to source capital-efficient opportunities aligned with the company's strategic vision.

Cultivating and strengthening relationships with landowners, especially those with assets in strategic locations, will be key to your success as you navigate partnering or joint venture models.

Additionally, you will oversee a dedicated internal team, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives, and collaborate closely with internal management to prepare and present business cases and feasibilities for assessment and approval, contributing significantly to the continued growth and impact within the community.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategy in collaboration with internal management to secure capitalefficient opportunities.
  • Identify and assess geographic locations relevant to the business's strategic objectives.
  • Cultivate and leverage relationships with landowners in strategic locations.
  • Lead and manage a dedicated internal team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare and present business cases for assessment and approval.

Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in acquisition or new business development within the development sector.
  • Proven track record in developing assets for an operating platform, prioritizing strategic objectives over marketled opportunities.
  • Strong proficiency in managing planning risk associated with new acquisitions.
  • Ability to develop strategies, prepare business cases, and feasibilities for internal assessment and approval.
  • Exceptional reputation in the industry with a knack for building meaningful and productive working relationships.
