In the role of Financial Accounting Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of statutory reports, accounting policies, treasury accounting, technical accounting support, and maintaining accurate financial records for EnergyAustralia.

About the Position

  • Prepare annual and half-year financial statements for EnergyAustralia Group and its subsidiaries
  • Provide focused, technical accounting advice
  • Support the Financial Control team in interpreting complex accounting areas and ensuring accurate ledger production
  • Aid in preparing accounting documents for key committees and the Board of Directors
  • Manage precise accounting and financial reporting for Treasury activities
  • Coordinate balance sheet reconciliations and hierarchies for Financial Control
  • Offer technical accounting advice on various business development projects

How You Can Contribute to the Clean Energy Transition

  • Holder of tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, economics, or related fields
  • Possess postgraduate qualifications in accounting or finance along with current CA/CPA credentials
  • Demonstrate strong technical advisory skills from prior experience in multinational corporations or leading accounting firms
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex financial information for diverse audiences
