THE CLIENT

The client is a prominent figure in the collision repair industry in Australia and New Zealand, as well as in the auto parts market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly statements by collecting and analyzing data, investigating variances, summarizing trends.
  • Compile quarterly and annual statements by assembling data.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal tax regulations, advise management on necessary actions, calculate quarterly tax payments, and assemble data for tax filings.
  • Provide financial advice by studying operational issues, applying financial principles, and developing recommendations.
  • Generate special reports by studying variances, preparing budgets, and creating forecasts.
  • Update job knowledge by staying current with financial regulations, attending educational opportunities, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Manage filing systems, develop new administrative systems, record office expenditures, and organize office layout and supplies.
  • Oversee employee records, recruitment, staff appraisals, performance management, and workload delegation.
  • Promote staff development, equality, and diversity policies, write reports, and handle customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Review and update health and safety policies, supervise award compliance, process workers' compensation payments, manage accounts payable, banking, general ledger, and tax requirements.
  • Provide support to the Chief Executive Officer, prioritize work allocated by the CEO, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliation, oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll tax, and undertake financial accounting month-end activities.
  • Carry out any other related duties as required.
