About the role
***The Administrative Assistant is a critical role that ensures the communications and operations of the General Manager People & Performance are managed with professionalism and efficiency. This includes confidential support and day to day management of business as usual activities and special projects for the GMPP, including but not limited to the collation of inputs for Board Committee reports.

What you'll do

  • Effective diary and meeting management
  • Prepare information for meetings well in advance
  • Complete secretarial tasks without errors
  • Expense reconciliation processed on time and accurately
  • Manage relationships professionally with internal and external customers
  • Take the initiative to anticipate and resolve problems and develop effective working arrangements to maximise time effectiveness of GM
  • Liaise with customers as required, managing their inquiries and coordinating responses
  • Meet and greet external guests
  • Promote strong relationships with all Standards Australia employees
  • Exercise discretion and tact
  • Utilise analytical capability as necessary to sort, assess, prioritise and process all information inputs and requests for action
  • Keep logical and orderly electronic filing system and log as necessary for action and follow up
  • Draft responses and correspondence as required for internal and external purposes
  • Map, track, monitor and analyse for progress
  • Ensure effective collaboration with other SA functional groups promoting alignment with communications, systems of operation and organisational efficiency
  • Develop effective and cooperative relationships with organisational managers to support and enable a productive and positive work environment
  • Contribute towards and support the coordination of various projects

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experienced in managing and maintaining confidentiality
  • HR administration experience is a big bonus but not essential
  • Manage and prioritise own work to meet set objectives and demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills in a busy office environment with conflicting demands
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in the handling of a wide range of information
  • Establish welldeveloped written and analytical skills focusing on procedure development, reports and other business writing
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with all employees
  • Listen and respond to the input of others with respect
  • Is collaborative in approach and committed to the pursuit of business goals
  • Leads by example, behaving in line with SA's iCare values and holding others accountable to do the same
  • Project and maintain a courteous, cooperative working relationship with all internal and external customers
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with a range of customers on sometimes sensitive issues
  • Contributes towards creating a customercentric culture
  • Assess incoming inquiries, determine the importance and respond and address the issue where possible or use judgement to forward appropriately
