Brunel is excited to collaborate with a highly reputable, national construction company that has been a key player in the industry, handling projects exceeding $400m. They are currently enjoying a successful phase in Brisbane with several notable projects lined up for 2024 and beyond.

They are seeking a Senior Contract Administrator to join a commercial construction project valued at over $300m in Brisbane.

This is a significant project aimed at benefiting the Queensland community and presents a great opportunity to work for a company that can significantly boost your career growth, both internally and externally.

This role offers the chance to be part of an established team led by a trusted leader with years of experience in delivering projects of a similar magnitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements to ensure adherence to project specifications and budgets.
  • Review, analyze, and provide advice on contract terms, identifying and addressing potential risks.
  • Track project expenditures and commitments for cost control and accurate forecasting.
  • Prepare and organize project-related documentation, including variations, claims, and schedules.
  • Oversee the change order process and communicate changes to all involved parties.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team for efficient and timely sourcing of materials and services.
  • Resolve disputes with subcontractors and suppliers professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory standards.
  • Offer guidance and support to junior administration staff.
Requirements
  • Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience (Mandatory).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial/Industrial Construction projects exceeding $100m (Mandatory).
  • Solid understanding of Australian Building Standards and norms.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
