THE POSITION:
To oversee Albury's water and wastewater strategic planning, capital project development, data analysis, and quality systems.

SERVICES TO BE MANAGED:

  • Water and Wastewater Strategic Planning
  • Water & Wastewater Capital Delivery
  • Backflow prevention
  • Tradewaste Services
  • Water metering and Billing
  • Waterview Laboratory
  • Water & Wastewater Education

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise the Cluster's Systems Optimization, Strategy Development, and Technical Services functions.
  • Assist in developing and executing strategic and business plans, including Integrated Water Cycle Management (IWCM) to manage AlburyCity's water and wastewater supply effectively.
  • Plan and implement AlburyCity's Water and Wastewater Strategies.
  • Lead and supervise the team, ensuring performance management, training & development, workflow coordination, and high morale.
  • Conduct engineering investigations and prepare project briefs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Establish business and financial plans for water and wastewater supply, including budgeting, return on investment, charges, metering, and accounts.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain water and wastewater reporting, data aggregation, and analytical processes.
  • Create and execute education programs for water conservation and efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on enhancements to water and wastewater quality within the systems.
  • Implement efficiency investigations and improvement strategies for the systems.
  • Contribute to the management and operation of water re-use efficiencies.
  • Manage contracts, from specifications to administration, including tender analysis.
  • Project manage capital works programs.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and relevant policies.
  • Perform assigned tasks within the scope of skills and training.
  • Follow WHS Legislation and AlburyCity Policies and Procedures.
