In addition to maintaining the day to day good running of the school, the MCS should lead and ensure the 'first impression' of the school to new and existing families continues to be held in high regard. As a Centre for Excellence School in the Explicit Teaching of Literacy, the importance of ensuring the highest possible quality with every element of what we do is paramount. The front office team sets the tone, with the MCS and School Officer working collaboratively and interchangeably when required.

Suitable applicants will ideally have the capacity to lead and manage their team independently and to drive the prescribed improvement and reform initiatives of the school. It is anticipated that applicants will actively promote a strong collegial culture of mutual trust and high expectations and to lead the development of continuous professional growth that includes the systematic and unrelenting focus on school improvement.

The MCS, in collaboration with the other members of the Executive Team, will ideally provide strong leadership across the school community; promoting school values, ethos and priorities along with maintaining and growing the strong connections that the school has with the community.
