The Cyber Security Unit (CSU) is responsible for enhancing government cyber security capability. This team provides cyber security leadership, governance, policy and standards, advocacy, capability development, and incident coordination. The CSU also manages several whole of Government threat management services, works to optimise cyber awareness and resilience across Queensland and supports State-wide industry cyber development.

As the Senior Project Officer within the Office of the Queensland Government Chief Information Security Officer (QGCISO), you will be involved in the co-ordination and preparation of ministerial and executive correspondence, providing advice and support to the QGCISO and Cyber Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities include:

· Coordinate the timely preparation and delivery of content for submissions, briefing papers correspondence and reports with respect to operational, budgetary, finance and human resource related activities for Cabinet, the Minister, senior departmental management, and interdepartmental committees and be responsible for the maintenance of an elevated standard of quality for such documents.
· Apply quality control practices for all content in alignment with departmental style guides and other related processes.
· Manage specific projects assigned by the QGCISO or Manager - Incident Response, Exercising and Corporate Services.
· Provide support and back up for other staff in the Corporate Services Team.
· Develop, maintain, communicate, and reinforce adherence to approved administrative processes to QGCSU staff.
· Develop and enhance effective and efficient interfaces and relationships between the Office of the QGCISO and teams within the CSU, division, the department, and other key stakeholders.
· Liaise with departmental staff in the development of high-level events, meetings, and workshops.
· Other duties as directed and required.

· Demonstrated experience in the preparation of submissions, briefing papers, correspondence and reports and the ability to present these senior management.

· Well-developed time management skills and the ability to work in a team and independently.
· High level negotiation skills with the ability to cultivate and sustain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve best outcomes.
· Well-developed intermediate skills in computer applications (Microsoft office suite, SAP, ExpenseMe).
· Highly developed interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.
