Summary:


This position is part of the Special Program Office (SPO) with responsibility for maintaining the FAA Type Certificate and Supplemental Type Certificates that combined with Military Type Certificates form the basis for the Commercial Hybrid Derivative Type Certificate.

Liaises with and assists USAF, Foreign End User (FEU), and subcontracted personnel as required with ASIP/PSIP, Fleet Planning, RAM, Maintenance Policy development, System Safety, Configuration Management, and Technical Publications.


Essential Functions:

  • Maintains FAA Continuing Airworthiness on fleet of foreign military owned G550 aircraft, documents and assists with configuration management activity in support of overall aircraft Continuing Airworthiness to support Type Certificates
  • Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Coordinate all safetyrelated activities within the requirements of the IBAC IS-BAO Stage III Safety Management System with respect to mission requirements, U.S. Government directives, and Foreign End User regulations to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for corporate programmatic requirements. Conducts audits in accordance with ISO9001

2016 Standards to ensure compliance and effectiveness of the Quality Management System. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

  • Supports the Special Program Office (SPO)
  • Provide written reports which are clear, concise and meaningful for all ground/aviation safety and environmental matters
  • May participate in postaccident investigations and may prepare reports identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.
  • Excellent Computer, communication, staffing and training skills
  • Other duties may be assigned by management as required

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from fouryear College or University and or in lieu of a degree, 15 years related experience and/or training equivalent to a combination of education and/or experience.
  • Thorough work knowledge of FAA regulations related to maintenance and flight operations.
  • Comparable work experience in civil or military operations may compensate for degree.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) required.
  • DOD Secret security clearance and US Passport required.
  • Military ISR background highly desired, large corporate jet experience preferred
  • Experience with foreign Airworthiness Administrators such as EASA, CASA, or DASA highly desired
  • Demonstrate professional bearing and a high degree of technical competency in the field of aviation safety, mishap prevention, and accident investigation.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from field managers and customers.
