About the Role

The Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine Department at Western Health handles over 30,000 surgeries and 5,500 deliveries annually. Except for Cardiology, all surgical specialties are covered. Moreover, the department manages a busy acute and chronic pain service, educational program, and actively participates in continuous research and audits.

The Department currently has 36 Registrars who rotate through various programs and training schemes.

There are seven (7) positions open for advanced anaesthetic registrars, offering valuable experience in cardiac and neuroanaesthesia through a rotation at Monash Health.

To Succeed in this Role, you should:

  • Hold a MBBS or equivalent primary medical qualification
  • Possess current medical registration with AHPRA or have the capacity to obtain such registration before starting the clinical placement
  • Have completed a minimum of two years of anaesthetic training
