Position Overview:
Due to our business growth, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our friendly and dynamic finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career with an industry-leading Australian brand. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive accounting support and demonstrate strong stakeholder relationship skills across all business areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Financial Controller and Senior Financial Accountant in the end-to-end financial management process, including General Ledger management and month-end reporting.
  • Oversee and assist with general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, including quarterly corporate reporting.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for statutory financial reports and coordinate with the external audit team.
  • Prepare schedules for the annual tax return and liaise with the Corporate Tax Team.
  • Calculate and prepare supporting schedules for FBT, BAS, and GST compliance.
  • Maintain and enhance internal processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Collaborate with Shared Services and Credit to ensure compliance with established controls and processes.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting, profit centre reporting, and related queries.
  • Foster strong relationships across the organization and collaborate on key projects with non-finance leaders.


Role Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualified.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Australian commercial accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Confident user of MS Office, particularly Excel and some experience with Pronto would be helpful, but not a must have.
  • Background in an expanding business with a national footprint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand resident or citizen (no sponsorship or temporary visas available).

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience in a national retail/distribution business is desirable.

Flexible hours between 07H30 - 17H00, but preferably 07H30 - 16H00.
