Greater Adelaide SA, Australia Bendigo & Adelaide Bank Full time

Psychosocial Safety Lead
Closing date: 5th February 2024

About the role and team
The People and Culture Team in Bendigo and Adelaide Bank focus on putting our people first.

We're committed to investing in our people, recognising them for great outcomes, and creating a community where everyone can thrive.

This is why we have a permanent Psychosocial Safety Lead role to join Workplace Safety Team.

You will serve as a primary advocate, collaborator, connector, and advisor within the organisation, focusing on wellbeing and psychosocial risk interventions to create a psychologically safe and healthy workplace.

Reporting to the Head of Workplace Safety, you will work closely with the Work Health Safety Manager, Injury and Compensation Manager, and the broader People and Culture team.

You will play a critical role to:

  • Reduce exposure to avoidable risk factors while boosting resilience and access to social support
  • Update and maintain WHS psychosocial risk registers across the business. This includes consulting with business units, and workers, identifying risk owners, and finalising action plans
  • Prioritise actions based on severity and likelihood, with the 'moderate' risks to be prioritised and timeframes established for actions and review
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the mental wellbeing of our employees
This role can be based in one of office locations in Adelaide, Melbourne, or Bendigo.

Whilst hybrid ways of working are core to how we operate today, you'll be required to come in into the office a minimum of two days per week.

Be part of an organisation where your work will be valued, and your input and ideas are always welcome.

About you

As a Psychosocial Safety Lead you'll get to:

  • Lead the development and execution of contemporary mental health risk management strategies and initiatives that nurture a healthy workplace culture.
  • Serve as a business advocate for initiatives that promote wellbeing and enhance psychological safety.
  • Collaborate and consult key stakeholders to ensure that all relevant input is considered when assessing and addressing psychosocial hazards; educating and raising awareness across the Bank.
  • Monitor and report on psychosocial hazards and wellbeing initiatives, including the design and implementation of the Bank's continuous improvement plan.

To be successful in the role, you'll have:

  • Proven experience in managing psychosocial risks, providing mental health support, and implementing staff wellbeing initiatives
  • Extensive practical experience in risk and clinical assessments, data analysis, and evidenceinformed interventions
  • Experience producing highquality guidance materials, reports, and projectrelated documents
  • Problem solving and analytical skills to research, analyse and evaluate complex information from a range of sources and delivery options, recommendations and plans for action
  • Strong coaching, negotiating, influencing and consulting skills with the ability to make a positive impact at all levels.

We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of two days in a local Head Office per week.
