TechOps follows a Squad/Spotify model – we form in self managing teams to solve key business problems. Team members need to be 'specialist generalists' i.e. each person brings their key domain knowledge but are also eager to work on other roles to ensure the squad meets its outcomes.

The Customer Insights Analyst works in the Customer Hub and will play a pivotal role in shaping our understanding of customer behaviour, preferences and needs. Leveraging advanced analytics and data mining techniques, you'll be driving deep dive portfolio and behavioral analysis, ultimately providing intuitive and actionable insights to improve our business functions and customer experience. You will be well versed in data discovery and manipulation, with the goal of empowering cross-functional teams to make data informed decisions that enhance the customer experience.

Core Responsibilities

  • Leading reporting & analytic work streams which aim to use reporting, monitoring and predictive analytics to provide insights to stakeholders and business partners
  • Utilising data visualisation techniques to convey insights and facilitate data discovery
  • Adopting a continuous improvement approach to enhancing and improving reports
  • Leading the improvement of data quality
  • Sourcing and analyzing data to deliver meaningful, accurate, timely reporting
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, developers, customers, and scrum masters to help achieve the sprint goal
  • Translate/elaborate business requirements into clearly written User Stories that meet the definition of ready, with personas, acceptance criteria, alignment to Epics and OKRs

Adhere to the compliance obligations relevant to your position; perform your duties in an ethical, lawful, and safe manner; undertake training as directed by the Compliance Leader; report and escalate compliance concerns, issues, and failures; and disclose potential conflicts of interest.

Qualifications

You should have a financial or analytical mindset that challenges and questions, from an objective viewpoint. You will be commercially astute and be able to form a view or opinion using multiple sources, as well as demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Highly tuned analytical skills, with experience of working with large volumes of data
  • Commercial acumen and market awareness/intelligence
  • ability to understand drivers and components of an industry/business and be able to communicate your findings to key stakeholders
  • Attention to detail and results orientated
  • Advanced Excel and modelling skills
  • Extensive experience with querying languages – preferably SQL or SAS
  • Experience in building predictive analytical models (Python)
  • Experience with Tableau for effective data visualisation
  • Demonstrated experience in operational environment
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage ad hoc requests
  • Open mindedness – understand how industry or policy changes can impact the business
  • Proactive with members of the business
