About the company


You will be working for a Local Government authority in the western suburbs in the Records Management Department, previous records management experience is essential.

This is a great opportunity to work with an excellent council giving you the chance to broaden your local government experience and knowledge.


Your key responsibilities include

  • Coordination of mail received and collected
  • Receipt and dispatch all incoming goods as they arrive to appropriate personnel
  • Sorting and opening of mail
  • Inbox management
  • Providing customer service to internal stakeholders
  • Register, process, and scan correspondence into the electronic document management system
  • Contribute to the development and implement improved work procedures and practices
  • Adhoc administration as required
  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and selfmotivated individual to assist this positive and dedicated Corporate Records Team in a local council.

You will have the following

  • Experience in a mailroom or records role is highly desirable
  • Either qualifications in Information Management or have proven experience within the field
  • PDF manipulation
  • Be process driven and maintain strong accuracy
  • Proficiency with the MS Suite
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards work
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks each with competing deadlines
