About the Company

Davidson is partnering with one of Melbourne's leading utility companies to find a talented Operational Technology (OT) Project Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering critical OT projects.

Flexible working from office and home 1-2 days a week in office Melbourne CBD.

6-month contract starting beginning of July with interviews and formal offer to be made in the next few weeks for the successful candidate.

About the Role

As an OT Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple OT projects. Your key duties will include:

  • Define, price, schedule, manage, deliver, and close projects handled by OT Service Providers.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and coordinate the interdependent scopes of IT, SCADA, and other systems to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Engage continuously with OT Service Providers, project sponsors, governance committees, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and handovers.
  • Ensure control system projects comply with standards and that external providers achieve the required outcomes.
  • Identify and manage project risks and compliance and escalating issues to governance committees and sponsors as necessary.
  • Monitor and report on financial, scheduling, and other aspects of OT projects on a monthly basis.
  • Review and approve Service Provider contractual claims, manage disputes, and escalate issues to the appropriate governance committees when necessary.
  • Lead and support initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and best practice in project and program delivery.

About You

  • Experience in Utilities / Asset management / industrial or construction project delivery, including contract and change management.
  • Formal project Management methodologies / certification i.e. – PMP, Prince2 etc.
  • Own the project budgets and financial reporting
  • Experience working on large scale enterprise-wide projects and programs
  • Significant experience in project management, particularly involving OT / SCADA systems, manufacturing processes, asset management and IoT applications.
  • Familiarity with asset management systems and software such as Maximo or SAP is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Vendor and third-party management
