Part-Time Placement Coordinator (32 hours per fortnight)

About the Opportunity

An exciting role is available in the Education Unit (Nursing and Midwifery) as a Placement Coordinator focused on undergraduate student nursing. Working closely with the Early Career Lead, your responsibility is to ensure that all sites meet the Best Practice Clinical Learning Environment Framework (BPCLE) benchmarks, comply with relevant policies and procedures, and adhere to Department of Health regulations.

  • Collaborate with Education Providers to establish and maintain partnerships
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, staff management, and program management skills
  • Travel within the Grampians Health region to provide support

Key Duties

  • Lead the clinical placement team at Grampians Health in coordination with the Early Career Lead
  • Conduct management and professional development reviews for reporting staff
  • Manage rostering and leave approvals working alongside the Early Career Lead
  • Establish and nurture relationships with external stakeholders
  • Occasionally deputize for the Early Career Lead when needed

Skills and Qualifications

  • Hold a nursing qualification and be registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Possess post-graduate qualifications in Education or Training
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Have a solid understanding of educational frameworks and relevant health policies
  • Experience in healthcare settings and knowledge of clinical placement processes
  • Familiarity with BPCLE and its implications on clinical placement
